2026 NWFA Expo Call for Speaker Proposals

The National Wood Flooring Association Wood Flooring Expo is the largest trade show anywhere dedicated exclusively to wood flooring. This event brings together manufacturers, distributors, inspectors, and contractors to network and elevate the industry.

 

NWFA is seeking proposals for the 2026 Expo Education sessions. NWFA is searching for dynamic speakers with a passion for advancing the knowledge and drive of those in the industry. Submissions must be received by 8/15/25 to be considered.

NWFA is looking for dynamic speakers who can provide education to our members about the topics that matter most.  Presentations should be agnostic in nature, with a focus on educating the audience.  Speakers should not promote or sell specific products or brands within the session.  Education sessions last one hour and should fall into one of the following categories to be considered:

Business Track

  • Digital marketing
  • Closing in-person sales
  • AI
  • Growing a Business
  • Legal considerations for customer contracts and inspections

Contractor Track

  • Current trends in design and colors
  • Inspector training and tips for delivering a quality report
  • Intro to Reading Specs
  • Refinishing: Sanding techniques, equipment modernizations, finishes, abrasives
  • Historic Renovations - Species identification, board replacement, finish options, regional licensing requirements, maintaining integrity of the history, and unique restorations

Manufacturer Track

  • Latest innovations in the industry
  • Grading: Process, technology, milling, sourcing

Session Information:

  • Length - 45 minutes
  • Formats - Speaker, Panel, Demonstration, Roundtable Discussion

Speaker Responsibilities:

  • Provide own transportation to and from event
  • Provide own lodging and travel expenses
  • Sign and return the speaker agreement by 9/15/25
  • Provide NWFA with all speaker and presentation materials by 11/21/25

 

Evaluation Process:

  • Submissions must be received by 8/15/25
  • Submissions will be evaluated by NWFA staff and committees and notified of acceptance by 8/30/25
