5-Layer Structure
Our 5-layer patented technology provides maximum stability by building a structure of crossing wood fibers. Each lamela is pressed to a support layer with formaldehyde-free PU glue, which has minimal odor and off-gassing. This 5-layer structure is durable against heat and humidity, making it compatible with radiant heat systems and basement installations.
Thick Wear Layer
Our engineered flooring has a high-quality hardwood lamela that’s sawn 3mm thick for greater structural integrity. It can be sanded and refinished twice in a 20-30 year lifespan. The hardwood surface is finished with up to 8 coats of UV oil or lacquer with aluminum oxide protection.
Solid Core & Support Layers
Our solid core is a thick composite of hardwood strips arranged in a cross-grain layout that improves the floor’s elastic modulus and static bending strength. When the floor is exposed to temperature and humidity fluctuations, the support layers provide an equilibrium that relieves the stress on the wear, core, and base layers. Since perpendicular wood fibers are attached to each other, the floor will maintain its manufactured dimensions with no expansion or shrinkage.
Sustainably Sourced
Our engineered hardwood flooring is made in Peru and the wood is responsibly harvested from FSC 100% certified forests. All wood beneath the wear layer is constructed from recycled materials that are bi-products of our solid hardwood flooring production. This lean manufacturing process minimizes waste and optimizes the amount of flooring produced from every tree.
Easy Installation
Our engineered flooring can be installed right away—no acclimation is required. Planks can be glued to an appropriately sealed concrete sub-floor or nailed onto KD plywood. Engineered hardwood floors can be installed above and below grade and is a suitable solution for residential kitchens and some bathrooms. This highly durable hardwood floor is easy to maintain, even in commercial environments that experience heavy traffic.
