Rubio Monocoat was established in 1964 as a wood finish and coatings company. In 2005 they released Oil Plus 2C ; the hardwax oil that revolutionized the wood finish industry! It was the first, and still is the only, finish to offer molecular bonding technology, one coat color and protection, while still being 0% VOC. In fact, Rubio Monocoat made the commitment to achieve 0% VOC in their finishes before legislation was ever passed regulating VOCs. After undergoing extensive testing by third party labs, Rubio Monocoat has become the first in its class to receive Eurofin's Gold Label for Indoor Air Comfort. This is Eurofin's highest certification for determining the indoor air quality of a product and establishes, once again, the safety and peace of mind that Oil Plus 2C offers both the professionals and homeowners who use it.

Easy to apply.

It’s a natural wood finish because the oil is made of linseed.
No overlaps or starting marks.
Minimal use/High coverage: 300 - 500 ft²/L.
Can be applied to almost all wood types.
Certified.
Wear-resistant.
Very fast curing: 80% in 2 days.
A short ‘dry’ maintenance period: after 5 days, the surface can be cleaned with water and Rubio Monocoat Soap.

Renew

Renew is a ready-to-use product that refreshes, restores and protects surfaces treated with Oil Plus 2C. Renew should be used when the surface feels too dry or rough, or when the finish has worn down due to heavy use.... More Info Less Info

Brings the surface back to a freshly oiled state
Restores the depth and vibrancy of the color
Masks scratches in the surface as long as the surface is not damaged
No overlaps or starting marks
Minimal use/High coverage: ~1000 ft²/L.
Convenient: Surface use after 4 - 6 hours
A short ‘dry’ maintenance period: after 6 days, the surface can be cleaned with water and soap

If color restoration is required, perform a renovation using Oil Plus 2C in the original color.

Pre-Aging

The colour spectrum ranges from a lighter to a darker smoked look, with colours that can be mixed with each other to the variant the customer wants. This results in a deep colour with subtle accents.

Attention: This product is a pre-treatment and does not protect the wood. It has to be combined with one of our Rubio Monocoat finishing products for maximum protection.
