  • Rogue River, OR (January 2020) – Wagner Meters proudly announces the introduction of two data logger devices designed to automate the process of collecting and storing in situ concrete relative humidity (RH) readings when installed inside Rapid RH® L6 Smart Sensors.

     

    The two self-contained wireless data loggers significantly enhance the digital documentation of L6 Smart Sensor readings by automating the collection and storage of concrete RH readings while the user is away. The larger of the two, the DataGrabber® with Bluetooth® fits inside an L6 Smart Sensor and features a built-in wireless connection to the free DataMaster™ L6 app. The smaller DataGrabber slips discreetly inside the L6 Smart Sensor and connects with the DataMaster L6 app by using the Total Reader® as a Bluetooth conduit.

     

    Both DataGrabbers can be programmed for automated collection of time-stamped concrete RH and temperature readings. Inside the DataMaster L6 app, the user can configure the time interval that the DataGrabber will take periodic readings. The app will also keep a running clock of acclimation time, download the time-stamped readings contained within the L6 Smart Sensor, and much more.

     

    The DataGrabber performs the same automated and data gathering tasks as the DataGrabber with Bluetooth but is programmable exclusively by using the Total Reader as a Bluetooth conduit to the DataMaster L6 app. The small DataGrabber is sized for long term periodic engagement of the L6 Smart Sensor to collect and store concrete slab RH readings while the L6 Smart Sensor is covered with a temporary cap.

     

    The potentially large number of readings that the DataGrabbers can engage the L6 sensors to record and store will greatly assist with a better understanding of the drying process as well as the dynamics that may be affecting the concrete drying time. Trend analysis may be possible from the multiple data points collected with the help of DataGrabber with Bluetooth and DataGrabber.

  • The new L6 Smart Sensor incorporates an enhanced design capable of providing concrete moisture readings up to 100% RH. In addition, each L6 sensor includes an onboard memory device capable of storing 512 time-stamped measurements. Since the time-stamped readings are recorded and saved with each sensor, it is possible to come back years later, retrieve an embedded sensor, and recover the historical data. 
    When transferring sensor data to the newly updated DataMaster™ L6 app on your smart device, the number of readings that can be stored is only limited by the storage capacity of your smart device. This new Rapid RH L6 integrated data storage capability makes it even easier to prove the validity of your readings at any time in the future.

It allows the user to input specific information like job name, address, and hole depth. The DataMaster L6 app can store pictures of blueprints that can be used to create a graphical overlay of the moisture sensor test site locations. Moisture readings can then be saved to the specified locations on the picture, allowing for a clearer visual representation of the testing report. With the DataMaster L6 app and the complete L6 Smart Sensor system, each reading is positively tied to a specific sensor installed in the concrete, to minimize the chance that you'll mix up or lose data.
    The DataMaster L6 app also generates reports in PDF format that can be sent to the client directly from your device and stored or transferred to other devices. The read-only PDF format further enhances data integrity.
