Cochran's Lumber is a family owned and operated flooring mill that manufacturers custom hardwood floors and fine finishes for over 40 years. We offer a wide range of flooring products and species including reclaimed lumber, a full line of domestic hardwoods and softwoods in several grades, as well as European Oak offerings. Cochran's Lumber is a family owned and operated flooring manufacturer located in Berryville VA. Our beginnings trace back to 1978 as a small woodworking shop, where two brothers built a company and a reputation for high quality flooring and millwork. Today, with the second generation handling operations within our state of the art 65,000 sf facility, Cochran's Lumber has positioned itself as a valuable industry partner for high end hardwood flooring products and finishes. Our product offerings include new domestic hardwoods and softwoods in a variety of species and grades, reclaimed lumber for flooring and other accessory products, and European Oak flooring in a wide range of specfications. All our flooring is available in solid and engineered formats in a variety of widths and thicknesses. Our full service finish shop has both spray and UV roll coat capability, giving us the abiltiy to achieve many custom looks and product offerings that set us apart from the competition. We value the longevity of our client relationships and continuously work to position ourselves and our services as a valuable partner in the hardwood flooring industry.

Most recently, our Antique Oak Distressed flooring was laid throughout this restored bungalow in Alexandria, Virginia. Featuring character traits like heavy saw kerf and weathered patina, our Antique Oak Distressed flooring gave this modern farmhouse the added rustic ambience that the homeowner desired.

    Our Live Sawn White Oak flooring is given an added layer of depth when we apply the fuming process, which enhances the character and gives the floor a slightly richer color.

    • We take our Live Sawn White Oak flooring to the next level when we add a fuming process. Fuming, a chemical reaction, involved putting our Live Sawn flooring into an enclosed environment, where airborne ammonia is released. The reaction to the ammonia is what changes the color of the flooring.  The result is a floor that is richer in color yet still full of the same character of our Live Sawn White Oak flooring.

    Our Fumed White Oak flooring was laid throughout this Virginia home, giving it a classic, soft look that will both compliment future decor choices and withstand high traffic entertainment.
