Cameron Automation, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, is a division of the James L. Taylor Mfg. Co. In an effort to service customers and the industry better, Cameron Automation was developed in January 2002 to focus on the development of high tech machinery for the wood working industry.

Cameron Machines are designed and manufactured in house here in Poughkeepsie, NY where we have been located for over 100 years. Our in house engineering and programming team constantly improve designs and features, and continually keep Cameron on the cutting edge of Rough Mill technology.

• Cameron Automation wins Challengers Award at IWF 2022 (Feb 23, 2023)
  Cameron Automation’s Rack & Stack has won the Challengers Award at the recent IWF 2022 in Atlanta, GA.  The Rack & Stack is the newest development of a new automated nesting and bundling machine for the flooring industry.  Designed to nest and bundle flooring strips up to 5″ wide and bundles up to 7.5′ long, the Rack & Stack can handle an average of 30 boards per minute, increases yield over hand nesting, and requires minimal floor space.

  The Rack & Stack will accurately measure each board, sort, nest and build bundles based on customer’s needs. It’s accomplished with a smarter and simpler sorting technology. The Servo Driven Rack System is designed with a steep angle that uses gravity to its advantage. Boards are released and slide in and out of the 12 slots on the rack quickly and consistently and are assembled into rows, layers and finally a finished bundle.  Most importantly, it creates bundles the exact square footage needed, increasing profits by up to 2.5%. A 2.5% yield savings equates to one extra bundle for every 40 shipped.  

  Cameron Automation can completely automate your nesting and bundling line from the grading station to the strapped and stacked bundle.
