Heritage artistry combined with uncompromising quality brought to you by Mullican Flooring® Mullican Flooring was founded in 1985 along the banks of the Greenbrier River in Ronceverte, WV. Bill Mullican, a Lumberman by trade, sourced locally from the prime timber tracks and started the production of beautifully crafted hardwood floors. That tradition and legendary craftsmanship continues today.

Mullican Hardwood Flooring is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of solid and engineered hardwood flooring. Throughout the company’s history, several core beliefs have helped to build a successful reputation for quality and service.

The company began with one mill based in Ronceverte, WV, and now has facilities in four states that manufacture hardwood flooring for major retailers in the United States and around the world.  All these facilities adhere to all EPA standards for sustainable harvesting and milling practices.  Mullican also partners with other companies that use their waste products for mulch and other ground pulp processes—insuring that as much of their material is put to good use, rather than ending up in landfills.

One of the things that has made Mullican Flooring different is their commitment to keep their harvesting and manufacturing based in the United States.  They support their local economies by providing jobs, taxes, and community service to remain a positive member of their communities.

 Press Releases

  • Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, announces the addition of Nordic Naturals oak flooring, a new Scandinavian-inspired line of solid hardwood flooring. Simply functional and incredibly beautiful, the collection features the most up-to-date hardwood finish technology with antimicrobial protection and high abrasion resistance.

The ¾-inch-thick collection offers muted natural tones and subtle organic variations. It is available in 3-, 4- and 5-inch widths, with random lengths up to 7 feet. Sustainably harvested and crafted in the Appalachian Mountains, the premium designer line is available in eight colors: Aurora, Copenhagen, Glacier Falls, Glistening Ice, Northern Lights, Norwegian Oak, Stockholm and Summit.

“The Nordic Naturals collection provides a neutral, minimalist look that is in high demand with consumers,” says Pat Oakley, vice president of sales and marketing for Mullican. “This addition to Mullican’s solid hardwood products uses high-quality red oak combined with a technology that removes the pink tones, giving consumers the clean, natural visual of white oak. The flooring looks stunning no matter the lighting conditions of a room, and changes in lighting bring out new shades and textures in the flooring.

“This new collection will serve as a launching point for additional product development for our company,” Oakley says. “We continue to work toward attaining new aesthetic heights, creating the most durable products and developing the best practices for environmental care.”
