  • Milwaukee, 5/2/2023 – The National Flooring Contractors Apprenticeship Program (NFCAP) is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming National Wood Flooring Association Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a leading organization dedicated to cultivating the next generation of flooring professionals, NFCAP aims to forge new partnerships with manufacturers and distributors to enhance the training opportunities for students in its pre-apprenticeship program.

The National Wood Flooring Association Expo, scheduled to take place on May 2-4, is an esteemed event that brings together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts from across the country. This premier gathering provides an ideal platform for NFCAP to showcase its mission of bridging the skills gap and preparing aspiring flooring contractors for successful careers.

NFCAP recognizes the invaluable role that manufacturers and distributors play in the flooring industry. By collaborating with these key stakeholders, NFCAP aims to offer its students access to the latest technologies, materials, and industry best practices. Through these strategic partnerships, NFCAP seeks to equip its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their careers.

"We are excited to attend the National Wood Flooring Association Expo and connect with manufacturers and distributors who share our commitment to fostering a skilled workforce in the flooring industry," said Carlos Mongalo, Program Director of NFCAP. "By joining forces, we can enhance the training opportunities available to our students and ensure that they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry."

In addition to seeking partnerships with manufacturers and distributors, NFCAP is actively seeking collaboration with flooring contractors interested in becoming apprenticeship sponsors. These sponsors will have the opportunity to hire students who have successfully completed NFCAP's rigorous pre-apprenticeship training program. By becoming an apprenticeship sponsor, flooring contractors can avail themselves of a range of benefits, including tax credits, wage reimbursements, and access to a pool of skilled and trained apprentices.

NFCAP's pre-apprenticeship training program, designed in collaboration with Job Corps, empowers students to develop the technical skills and professional competencies required in the flooring industry. The program combines classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-world work experiences, providing students with a comprehensive learning experience.

As NFCAP looks towards the future, it is committed to forging strong partnerships that enable it to expand its reach and impact. The organization believes that by working together with manufacturers, distributors, and flooring contractors, it can create a robust ecosystem that nurtures talent and supports the growth and sustainability of the industry.

NFCAP invites all attendees of the National Wood Flooring Association Expo to visit their booth 749 to learn more about their initiatives and explore potential partnerships. Together, let's shape the future of the flooring industry.
