Non-Damaging Sensor
Every Orion® meter features pinless technology, a non-damaging way to quickly and accurately measure the moisture content of the wood. This eliminates the cost of broken pins and also minimizes the effect of extreme temperatures on your readings.
Dual Depth
The Orion 930, 940, and 950 dual depth pinless moisture meters provide shall 1/4" (6mm) and 3/4" (19mm) deep reading depth modes to measure moisture content both on the wood and in the wood. In 1/4" mode, the meter will read the moisture content from the surface level down to .25". In 3/4" mode, the meter's IntelliSense™ technology will be activated and the meter will begin to disregard surface moisture and read moisture content deeper in the wood specimen from .75" up to 1.5".

Every Orion pinless meter comes with a calibration reference and features a setting to re-calibrate the meter instantly. Now you can easily confirm in seconds that the meter you're using is just as accurate as the day it was made. Simply hold the meter on the calibration reference, set the meter to calibrate, and embrace superior accuracy for the life of the meter.
The Orion 910 meter takes moisture readings in your wood as deep as 3/4". It is ideal for wood pieces from 3/4" to 1-1/2" thickness because it reads deep into the wood.
The Orion 920 takes moisture readings in your wood up to 1/4" in depth. It is ideal for wood pieces from 1/4" to 3/4" in thickness.
The Orion 930 has dual depth capability featuring deep reading and shallow reading modes. It features settable depth measurement capability, making it a great tool for many woo moisture measurement applications.
The Orion 940 incorporates the dual depth capability of the Orion 930 and also provides data storage of up to 100 moisture readings. This can be ideal for quality control applications where a wide variety of data points are needed for reference. The meter has the ability to collect and display the highest and lowest stored measurements, as well as the average percentage of all of the stored readings. It measures moisture content from 5% to 32% (depending on the species setting) to handle a wider range of moisture content conditions.
The Orion 950 smart moisture meter is the pinnacle achievement of the Orion line. Collect and store ambient temperature and relative humidity readings of any room the Orion 950 is in with its built-in sensor. The Orion 950 will also calculate if a wood specimen is at the critical threshold where it has reached its equilibrium with the environment and will no longer gain or lose moisture.
The Orion 950 meter sends data, through Bluetooth® technology, to both Woodshop MC and FloorSmart which are free mobile apps for your Android or Apple smart device.
